DCU celebrates Music Week; DCU FM on air
This week sees DCU FM make its annual return to the airwaves
This week is 'Music Week' at Dublin City University with entertainment aplenty and DCU FM making its annual week-long return to the airwaves.
Now in it's fifteenth year of existence, the student-run radio broadcast can be found on 97.3FM, from 9am-10pm. The schedule includes talk shows, current affairs programmes, regular news bulletins and live broadcasts from around the campus. Sponsored by Hot Press, DCU FM transmits until March 12.
Alongside the activity on the airwaves, DCU hosts its first ever 'Music Week' from March 8 to 12. Tuesday night sees karaoke fever take hold of the Old Bar, with the more serious types encouraged to attend the Music Society's singer/songwriter competition on March 10. Thursday March 11 sees the annual 'Tradfest' held alongside headlining acts Nemisis and 100 Bullets in the Old Bar.
