Danger Mouse producing new Red Hot Chili Peppers album
The acclaimed producer, who recently worked with U2 and The Black Keys, will join forces with the Chilis for their next LP.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers are working on a new album, their first since I'm With You in 2011, and we now have word that it's being produced by none other than Brian Burton, better known as Danger Mouse.
DIY reported that the news came in the form of a tweet from Chilis bassist Flea, which has since been deleted.
Burton has kept himself very busy over the past few years, working with artists like Norah Jones, Gnarls Barkley, Beck, Broken Bells, The Black Keys and U2, with the latter two on last year's highly acclaimed albums Turn Blue and Songs of Innocence.
It'll be an interesting change of pace for the Chilis, who have worked with producer consistently Rick Rubin since the early 90s. A date has not yet been set for the release.
