Daaamn right
Isaac Hayes - creator of the 'Shaft' theme tune, voiceover-artist of South Park's 'Chef' and no relation to Gemma - comes to Vicar St in July
If you like your soul hot and buttered, look no further than the Isaac Hayes headliner at Dublin's Vicar St. on July 23.
A true American original, Hayes shot to worldwide fame in the early '70s when he supplied the theme tune to Shaft.
The quality of his back catalogue is underlined by the fact that it's been sampled over 150 times by the likes of Dr. Dre, Tricky, Portishead and Snoop Dogg.

Over the past few years he's diversified into the restaurant trade and voicing the Cook character in South Park. Yup, it's him who's got the 'Chocolate Salty Balls'!
