D12 announce Irish dates [updated]
While Eminem gets a BBC style rap on the knuckles, it's unconfirmed whether he'll join D12 on their Irish dates
Detroit rap crew D12 arrive in Ireland this September for shows at the Ambassador Theatre, Dublin (September 25), and Ulster Hall, Belfast (27).
Motor City heroes long before Eminem started championing their cause, they'll be plugging their platinum-shifting D12 World album. As for whether or not the Mathers boy will be coming with them, the word from the States is that he's not confirmed for any of the dates but will be making the occasional unannounced guest appearance.
Tickets for the Ambassador go on sale August 7, at 9am, priced from €30. Tickets for Belfast are on sale now from the usual outlets.
Back on this side of the Atlantic and the BBC have upheld 12 viewers' complaints that arose from Emimem grabbing his crotch during a live Top Of The Pops appearance in April.
"The performer had been asked to tone his act down after rehearsal but ignored the request during the broadcast," a BBC statement reads. "Although his gestures were part of the rap culture, they had gone beyond what's expected."
There were further corporation raps on the knuckle for Sara Cox who was criticised for awarding a prize to a contestant who admitted urinating in a train compartment, and Belfast jock Colin Murray who was censured for saying "fuck" last year on his Colin & Edith show.
