Curtis Stigers will sing the blues in green (grey?) Ireland
Curtis Stigers proves that white men can most definitely sing the blues when he plays two Irish dates
Blues master, Curtis Stigers, will play the Waterfront, Belfast on April 26 and Whelan’s, Dublin on April 28.
Namechecked once in this here organ by the legendary John Lee Hooker, the American will be plugging his I Think It’s Going To Rain Today album, which finds him covering classics by Sting, Randy Newman, Mose Allison, Willie Nelson and Tom Waits.
Don’t be surprised if you see a familiar face bopping down the front – RTE’s John Kelly and Curtis are old mates.
