CowBoy Robot to launch debut album

To celebrate the launch of Penny Arcade and lead single Was The Light Green, they'll be playing The Button Factory on November 15, with support from Majella Murphy & Bill Coleman.

Singer/guitarists Jon Arman and Kaleb Hanly, bassist Mike Wolpe and drummer Shane McLafferty met as surfers in Los Angeles and despite offers of a recording contract from several US labels, decided to establish a name for themselves in Ireland.

They arrived here last August and started at the bottom, busking on Grafton Street, but those in the know soon sat up and took notice. While busking at the Cois Fharraige festival at the end of the summer, the band came to the attention of a production crew from RTE who filmed the boys performing acoustically for a music documentary on surfing songwriters.
