Cork's community Pops Orchestra presents a stellar selection of music for schools this March, featuring pieces inspired by stars and space.
CIT Cork School of Music Lecturer – and Lyric FM presenter – Evelyn Grant has devised the new series of Concerts for Schools, which take place this March in City Hall, Cork.
The Cork Pops Orchestra will play 'Music of the Stars' – including what's described as "music of the planets, music composed with stars as political symbols and music inspired by the romance of moonlight".
The programme aims to inspire interest in music and is designed to work alongside the new primary school music curriculum.
