Coldplay... colder... coldest
The tabloids have been trying their darndest to guess who's headlining Slane 2003 (recent "scoops": Coldplay, The Rolling Stones) - but promoters MCD say they couldn't be further off
MCD spokesperson Justin Green has denied the tabloid reports that Coldplay are to headline Slane 2003.
"Maybe someone should tell Coldplay and the promoters!," he says, speaking to Hot Press. "Last week they said it was going to be The Rolling Stones headlining, but there’s 52 weeks in a year so maybe if they keep guessing they’ll get it eventually. But it probably won’t be until after the announcement."
The festival is due to take place in late August, with recent headline acts including Stereophonics, Robbie Williams and U2.
"We deal with facts, not speculation," adds Green. "It’s unfair to fans for the media to be speculating when there’s no facts."
