CoisCeim offer free dance classes for over-50s
The Irish dance company is offering free classes to over-50s as part of next month's Bealtaine Festival.
CoisCéim Dance Theatre presents La Vie en Rose: Dancing to Edith Piaf, a special programme that gives anyone over 50 the chance to attend free dance classes across the capital throughout April and May.
From April 14, six Dublin venues will host a six-week series of classes, with award-winning choreographers on hand to teach memorable routines.
The free classes are open to all, and are running as part of the annual Bealtaine Festival, which aims to encourage creativity in older people.
The free classes take place in the Donnycarney/Beaumont Local Care Centre; Gloucester Street Sports Centre; Ballyfermot Leisure Centre; Santry Community Resource Centre (with some classes at Larkhill Scout Hall); the Ballymun Leisure Centre; and the Sean O'Casey Community Centre.
There'll also be an end performance, so dancers can show off what they've learnt at City Hall on May 23. (For the stage-shy among you, taking part is optional!)
For more information – including class times – email info@coisceim or see their site.
