Clive Barnes Music for major Hollywood Film
Irish songwriter and blues guitarist Clive Barnes will have his music used throughout the forthcoming Hollywood film Gospel Hill.
But the circumstances surrounding Barnes’ remarkable coup are quite bizarre. As he exclusively revealed to Hot Press, he was touring France with Eric Bibb when he bumped into the producers of Gospel Hill at a French cafe gig. When they heard him play they brought a recording desk from their car, set it up, paid him a lump sum there and then, and recorded Barnes improvising with his lap slide guitar for two hours!
Apart from his solo work, Barnes also plays on one of Eric Bibb’s songs that is also being used in the film.
Clive Barnes New Single ‘Shotgun Grin’ set for release on August 7-- from his latest album The Ghost Country.
