Chunky Planet new EP inspired by baby

The release will come with a celebratory launch show at the Crane Lane Theatre in Cork. The title track from the EP features Annette Buckley on piano, and, as Linda Carroll from the duo explained to Hot Press, the song ‘Walking In My Shoes’ was inspired by the birth of their second child.

Awarding the duo his Pick of The Fortnight accolade in Hot Press for their last effort Pensioners Watch TV , Jackie Hayden wrote “Chunky Planet occupy the hinterland between Badly Drawn Boy, The Eels and Tom Waits, delivering a sub-species of alt-indie folk that deals with real issues."
