The Detroit Cobras are one of those bands that have always been a better idea on paper than in reality, yet at last the concept seems to be falling into place. ‘Cha Cha Twist’ is a very cool record indeed – cool enough even to withstand its use on a Coca Cola ad – and proves the perfect combination of raw soul and garage rock.
