Cabin has released a charity live single, ‘Live From The Ivy House’, in support of Gaza-based solidarity centre Ionad Hind Rajab.
The single is exclusively available on Bandcamp, with all the proceeds raised being donated to Ionad Hind Rajab.
Recorded in London as part of Poetry for Palestine on March 10, the live set features ‘The Wind That Shakes The Barley’, as well as an acoustic rendition of the Dublin producer and songwriter's last track ‘Cover Me In Flowers’.
"I've always considered this ballad one of loss, but also of resistance and resilience against Imperialism," said Cabin.
"Including it during a set for a Palestinian fundraiser, at the start of Seachtain Na Gaeilge felt appropriate. To receive a recording of the set soon after, I could utilise it towards further fundraising for a cause close to my heart."
Launched by Dublin political artist Spicebag and Dignity for Palestinians Campaign, Ionad Hind Rajab is an Irish-Palestinian solidarity centre in Gaza dedicated to protecting the dignity, well-being, and future of displaced children.
The centre is a nurturing space where children can access essential care, nutritious food, and clean drinking water.
Besides meeting the children's basic needs, Ionad Hind Rajab provides education, activities, and psychosocial support to help them heal from trauma, regain confidence, and reconnect with childhood.
You can support the centre by buying merchandise here or by donating here.
