Dublin political artist Spicebag and Dignity for Palestinians Campaign have launched Ionad Hind Rajab, an Irish-Palestinian solidarity centre in Gaza.
The centre provides education, activities and mental health services to displaced children from Gaza. It also showcases the ongoing Irish-Palestinian solidarity.
Named after Hind Rajab, a five-year old Palestinian girl killed by the IDF in 2024, the centre officially opened in January of this year. Since then, over 80 Palestinian children have been enrolled in the centre.
"This is most important project I’ve ever undertaken," said Spicebag.
"It's a safe place for kids to be kids and for a community that has been through so much to come together," he added.
Last year's proceeds from Spicebag's merchandise, including the popular 'An Phalaistín' scarfs, contributed directly to the centre.
You can support the centre by buying a scarf from Spicebag's website here.

The film about the Palestine Red Crescent Society's attempt to rescue Ionad Hind Rajab, titled The Voice of Hind Rajab, had its release in 2024. This February and March, several screenings of the film will take place in Ireland, including Irish Red Cross in Galway, Riverbank Arts Centre in Newbridge, Cork's Triskel Arts Centre, Dublin's Irish Film Institute, Pavilion Theatre in Dún Laoghaire, and more.
