Róisín El Cherif to perform at National March for Palestine on Saturday
The National March for Palestine is taking place on Saturday, February 21. Starting at 1 pm at the Garden of Remembrance and ending at the Dáil.
The Ireland-Palestine Solidarity Campaign (IPSC) have announced that Irish-Palestinian singer-songwriter Róisín El Cherif will be performing at their National March for Palestine this Saturday.
At the end of last year, the alternative-indie artist, alongside David Holmes and Paul Weller, released the single ‘Resistance in the Dark’ in aid of Medical Aid for Palestinians.
The track followed the release of her live album in support of Mothers Against Genocide. The record is available on Bandcamp.
IPSC have also taken to Instagram to announce the Master of Ceremonies (MC), Palestinian doctor and musician Dr Abdullah Al Bayyari and guest speakers.
Also speaking are psychologist, psychotherapist and activist Rula Nasr-Mazzawi from the Association of Defence of the Rights of the Internally Displaced, Brian Flynn from Gaels Against Genocide in Gaza, and Palestinian psychotherapist, activist and rapper Talha Alali.
The demonstration aims to pressure the Irish Government to sanction Israel, enact the OTB, stop CBI funding, remove the US military from Shannon airport, and enact the arms embargo.
