Bright Eyes announce new album Five Dice, All Threes and share lead single
Watch the video for Bright Eyes' new track 'Bells and Whistles' below.
It's been four years since Bright Eyes made their long-awaited return with Down in the Weeds, Where the World Once Was – and now the indie-rock trio are gearing up for a brand new album, Five Dice, All Threes, set to be released on September 20 via Dead Oceans. To coincide with the announcement, the band (made up of Conor Oberst, Mike Mogis and Nate Walcott) have shared the album's lead single 'Bells and Whistles', alongside an accompanying music video.
“This is a song about the many little details in life that can seem insignificant or frivolous or temporary at the time but eventually end up forming your destiny," Conor Oberst says of the new track. "And it's also kind of a whistle while you work scenario.”
Five Dice, All Threes – Bright Eyes' tenth studio album – will feature guest appearances from the likes of Cat Power, The National’s Matt Berninger and The So So Glos’ Alex Orange Drink. It was self-produced and recorded at Mike and Conor's studio, ARC, in Omaha, Nebraska.

The album has been described as "a record of uncommon intensity and tenderness, communal exorcism and personal excavation" – and is available to pre-order here.
