Brad Mehldau announces Irish dates

Renegade jazz man Brad Mehldau jets over in November for a brace of shows at the Opera House, Cork (14) and National Concert Hall, Dublin (15).

Prior to that comes the mid-September release of Live In Tokyo, a do-what-it-says-it-does-on-the-tin concert album which draws on his ten previous studio collections.

A far grittier proposition than your Jamie Cullums, the American pianist is also working on a project with renowned soprano Renee Fleming.
