Boyzone top Irish singles chart

Boyzone have another number one to celebrate, with ‘Gave It All Away’ replacing Jedward at the top of the Irish singles chart today.
Written by Mika, the song features one of the last vocals Stephen Gately recorded before his tragic death.
The highest new entry otherwise at number ten is Justin Bieber feat. Ludacris’ ‘Baby’ (Island).
It’s as you were on the album chart with Glee The Music: Vol. 1 (Columbia) top of the pile and the Oxegen-bound Paolo Nutini’s Sunny Side Up (Atlantic) at number two.
The highest new entry at 10 is Jason Derulo’s eponymous debut (Warners) followed by Ellie Goulding’s Lights (Polydor) at number 12. Other significant debutantes are Two Door Cinema Club’s Tourist History (Kitsune) at 22; Joanna Newsom’s triple-monster Have One On Me (Drag City) at 24; Hermione Hennessy’s Songs My Father Taught Me (H&I Music) at 25; and James Vincent McMorrow’s Early In The Morning (Faction) at 30.
Two Door Cinema Club also top the Irish indie chart, with Hermione Hennessy at number 3 and James Vincent McMorrow at five.
