Bono Must Die release debut single
One of the world's more imaginatively titled bands gear up for a launch.
We're going to be brutally honest here and say that the only reason we're mentioning this is because they have a band name that's sure to rile the more hardcore followers of U2.
The band have already riled fellow anti-poverty campaigner Bob Geldof, who chastised his daugher Peaches for her admiration of the band: she listed the band under her influences on her myspace page.
The British indie/electro outfit's debut single 'Trafalgar' is released on July 30 through their own label – no record company wants to go near them due to their name.
They'll support the release with a small tour that visits London, Leeds, Birmingham and, almost as crazily named as the band themselves, The Telford Reach Out And Fuck Somebody @ Insomniacs nightclub on July 2.
Wouldn't it be ironic if they they spent the whole gig talking about making poverty history. Or pushing things to The Edge! Boom boom!
