The consensus was that Blur delivered big-time at the Royal Hospital, Kilmainham in their first Irish performance in four years.
The tornadoes stayed away and the verdict from the fans was that Blur and their two support acts Bat For Lashes and The Strypes rocked the Royal Hospital venue in Kilmainham from start to finish yesterday.

90s nostalgia was rampant among many of the fans at Blur last night.
Emma Connor's tweeted "Was 16 the first time I saw Blur - Almost 20 years later, myself and 20,000 others still nostalgically moshing to Parklife. Brilliant gig."
Caroline Clarke ruefully noted that the gig was "full of 30 something hipsters pretending they're young and carefree, drinking like they don't have work tomorrow. Wait, that's me!"
Alistair Daniel remarked upon the "touching reciprocity at the Blur gig last night. Damon draped himself in the tricolour while 20,000 Irish people sang his quintessentially English songs."
Most fans declared that the band were "excellent" or "on fire" however some lamented the organisation of the event with one fairly trenchant tweet from Keith Palmer saying that despite Blur's excellence, it was one of the worst organised gigs he'd ever been at.
The difficulty of getting a drink was a major gripe. Scores of fans complained of mammoth queues at the bar with Irish Times journalist Shane Hegarty sayong that "if anyone was wondering what the queue on the quays is, it's the beer queue at Blur."
