Black Mountain cancel tonight's gig
NEWSFLASH! Bad tidings for Black Mountain fans, with illness forcing the hirsute Canadians to pull their gig tonight (May 13) in the Dublin Button Factory.
They join a casualty list which already includes The Pigeon Detectives who called off their May 13 and 14 visits to Dublin and Belfast yesterday because of injuries sustained by singer Matt Bowman while playing last weekend’s BBC Radio 1 Big Weekend in Maidstone.
Not ill or injured and absolutely raring to go this evening in The Academy are The Hold Steady who not 90 minutes ago kindly posed for this photo.
Coming soon in Hot Press, we’ll be talking to them about hanging out with Bruce Springsteen, Barack vs. Hillary, potential meetings with Jimmy Paige and plans to play in Iraq. They also happened to mention that they’ll be back in July for Oxegen.
