The Dublin leg of the JD Set kicked off in style last night in Crawdaddy with blistering sets from Jezzebelle, Robotnik and Revolution for Dogs.
The bands each performed 30-minute sets for the panel of judges. The Dublin finalist will be chosen after tonights' showcase which features The Chapman Society, My Wooly Hat and Superjiminez.
Talented duo Jezzebelle, Katie Carpenter and Gary Burke, were first up and set an impressive pace with their infectious county-tinged rock. Katies powerful vocal range and Gary's harmonies and stunning guitar work are a formidable combo. They closed their set with live fave 'Bad Seed'.
Next up was Baldoyle's Robotnik, who wowed the crowd with his original performance style. He created quite a stir with his unique sonic concoctions, especially 'Puddlestarter' and 'Pat The Baker', when his props included a water pistol and sliced pan.
