Bash for Philo starts tonight
The Bash For Philo is the official birthday party celebration for the charismatic front man of Thin Lizzy, Mr Philip Parris Lynott.
It is a three-day annual festival that takes place in three leading music venues in Dublin along with a totally free launch in a secret but very popular location.
This year’s festival will see the leading Thin Lizzy tribute bands from all over the world performing two full-length albums. The iconic ‘BLACKROSE’ and the legendary ‘Live and Dangerous’ performed track for track are a dream for any music lover and of course Thin Lizzy fans!
The BASH Festival is now entering its fourth year and will see fans attend from all over the world even from as far as Australia and New Zealand.
As in the last four years, the BASH Festival will be a combination of celebration and emotions openly exchanged by fans sharing their feelings among themselves and Phil’s family that continually shown their support.
Philomena Lynott said ‘2016 was one of the best tributes to my son’s life and legacy’.
Besides the die-hard fans, free Tshirts and amazing performances, the night concludes with a heartfelt rendition of ‘Happy Birthday’ and cutting of a one huge cake.... which always is a teary moment! The Friday show is at the Grand Social and then on Saturday night the main show will be held at The Button Factory. Finally, the Festival will conclude on Sunday with an exclusive acoustic show in Philo’s Bar at Bruxelles.
