Ed Sheeran announces 3Arena gig
Ed Sheeran announces Dublin and UK tour dates
Ed Sheeran has announced a gig at the 3Arena on December 9, to close out his play tour.
The gig is one of five across the UK and Europe taking place at the end of the year. "I love playing these venues so much," said the singer on his website.
The announcement comes ahead of his album Play, which is set to be released on September 12. The album is said to have been inspired by Indian and Persian musical cultures, and their connections to the Irish folk tradition Sheeran grew up with.
Presale for the tour can be accessed by pre-ordering the album before September 8. Link here.
Sheeran is no stranger to Ireland, having sold out four stadium tours in Ireland, the last of which being the + – = ÷ x Tour in 2022. Last month, he made a surprise appearance at this year's Fleadh Cheoil in Wexford, performing alongside Irish musicians, playing a mix of his original songs and traditional Irish tunes.

Tickets for Ed Sheeran's Play tour will go on sale at 10am September 11, and can be purchased on ticketmaster via this link.
