Weezer announce 3Arena gig as part of The Gathering world tour in 2027
Tickets go on sale Friday, August 14 at 10am.
Weezer have announced they will be playing Dublin's 3Arena on May 12, 2027 as part of their Gathering world tour.
The gig will kick off the Europe, UK and Ireland leg of their world tour, with American rock band Taking Back Sunday as special guests.
The tour announcement comes ahead of their new self-titled album Weezer, set to be released August 21 via Reprise/Warner Records.
The band shared their new single 'C.E.O.' today ahead of the release, joining previous singles 'Shine Again' and 'We Might as Well Be Strangers' (ft. Wednesday).
The video features guest appearances from Tony Hawk, Curry Barker, Dax Flame, Chit, Rob Riggle, Rob Huebel, Michael Peña, Giovanni Ribisi, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse.
Huebel and Riggle play a pair of stereotypical CEOs watching Weezer shoot a music video in front of a gold backdrop, instead of their token blue. Frontman River Cuomo talks about moving on from the past in the video: "we're thinking maybe we do something a little different this time," which is met with resistance.
"Cranking out another Nineties jam/Wish I could do something new/But nobody wants to hear that" Cuomo says on the track.
Dubbed The Gold Album, Weezer follows their 1994 breakout debut Blue album, 2001 Green album, 2008 Red album, 2016 White album, 2019 Teal album and 2019 Black album. To celebrate their 34th anniversary, they released all of the colored albums together with a coloring book.
They will begin the North American leg of their tour in California with support from The Shins and Silversun Pickups in September. They will also play shows in Japan, Australia and New Zealand.
Tickets go on sale Friday August 14 at 10am and can be purchased here.
