Josh Groban has announced his upcoming album CINEMATIC, set to be released on May 8 via Reprise Records.
The five-time Grammy-nominated singer-songwriter's new record features ten classic film tracks from The Godfather, Casablanca, The Lion King, Stand by Me, Breakfast at Tiffany's, and more.
"There's something incredibly powerful about the way a song or score can elevate a story and stay with you long after the credits roll," said Groban. "With CINEMATIC, I wanted to honour that feeling - the nostalgia, the drama, the romance - while bringing my own voice and perspective to these timeless songs.
"Recording this album felt like stepping into some of the most iconic moments in film history, and I hope listeners are transported the same way I have always been when the lights go down and the music begins."
Alongside the announcement, Groban has shared his rendition of ‘Can You Feel The Love Tonight’, which features The Gay Men's Chorus of Los Angeles.
Last November, Groban also shared that he was performing at Dublin's 3Arena on Sunday, March 29.
The show is part of his GEMS World Tour, which is in support of his previous album Hidden Gems.
Hidden Gems features a special collection of fan favourite tracks, many of which had never been released to streaming platforms, along with the new song ‘The Constant’, written in collaboration with Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.
You can pre-order or pre-save CINEMATIC here.
