Whelan's to host Stay Human Fundraiser for school in Gaza

Whelan's will host a fundraiser for a school in Northern Gaza
Following a successful fundraiser in Whelan’s at the end of April, a number of s Irish musicians have come together for another gig to raise funds for The Stay Human Collective, a mutual aid initiative based in Gaza.
On Thursday, October 9, hosted by Hayden Cassidy, Brian Brannigan from A Lazarus Soul, Nina Hynes, Alice Jago, Arrivalists and others in the Irish music scene, will take to the Whelan's main stage. A "very special guest" will also perform, however, it hasn't been said who this will be.

The Stay human Collective is a mutual aid initiative which emerged when a small group of Irish, Italian, English and Palestinian family and friends began emergency crowdfunding to provide food, water, and essential supplies for families in Northern Gaza.
The charity provides Arabic, English, and Mathematics taught by three dedicated teachers since September 2024. Beyond academic learning, the space provides a psychologically supportive environment where children can build friendships, play, and heal.

Tickets for the fundraiser start at €25.50 with all proceeds going to The Stay Human Collective, and can be purchased on the Whelan's website or by following the link here.
