Reevah, Anna Bradley and more to perform at celebration of Snow Patrol's Eyes Open 20th anniversary
Tickets are on sale now.
Several artists will come together to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Snow Patrol's album Eyes Open at a special Classic Album Night at the Oh Yeah Music Centre as part of Sound of Belfast 2026.
For the anniversary celebration, Reevah, Anna Bradley, Nathan O'Regan, Jack Devlin, Ghoul Girl (Lucy Gaffney) and Tribal Ting (James Gitari) will each bring their own interpretations to songs from the album.
Released in 2006, Eyes Open became the UK's biggest-selling record of the year, going on to sell over 10 million copies worldwide. It features songs like 'Chasing Cars', which was named the most-played song on British radio of the century in 2019.
On July 24, Snow Patrol released a 20th anniversary reissue of Eyes Open, including a 2LP vinyl edition and a 2CD and digital edition. They also became the first recipients of The Official Charts Hall of Fame Award for Eyes Open that month, which aims to spotlight albums that remained in the charts for a significant period of time.
"We are absolutely over the moon that the Oh Yeah Centre have decided to celebrate the 20th anniversary of our album Eyes Open as part of their Classic Albums night at the Sound of Belfast Festival," said Snow Patrol's Gary Lightbody.
"Every year they pick an album to cover and the so far list is an impressive one, so being in such exalted company is a massive honour. We'd like to hugely thank all the musicians participating in the night!"
Past Classic Album Nights have featured Radiohead's OK Computer and Van Morrison's Astral Weeks.
The Sound of Belfast 2026 music festival returns from November 5 to November 15. The celebration highlights Belfast's status as a UNESCO City of Music.
Also set to feature is a 20th anniversary play through of Duke Special's Songs From The Deep Forest and an album launch by Alana Henderson.
Tickets for the anniversary celebration are on sale here.
