Rusangano Family, This Side Up, Mango & MathMan, Fifth Element & Doublescreen, Ophelia MC and Jafaris are just a handful of the acts who are featured in The Truth About Irish Hip Hop, a new documentary by Gavin Fitzgerald whose CV includes The Fighting Irish and The Notorious.
“Ireland is renowned for its writers and poets so why hasn't hip hop entered the cultural mainstream here?” the film proffers. "Well, this documentary shows it happening before our eyes and the movement will only increase with the dedicated new wave of rappers breaking through the scene.”
