Bad Seed Conway Savage announces Irish dates
Conway Savage will be joined by Australian musician Jim Yamouridis for two shows in Ireland
One of the baddest of the Bad Seeds, Conway Savage, has just announced two solo shows in Ireland - October 18 at Dublin's Crawdaddy and October 19 at Dundalk's Spirit Store.
The live dates precede his European tour with Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds (which as yet does not include Ireland). The singer/songwriter/pianist will be playing his solo material and possibly - as a concession to Irish fans - some songs which he recorded for the new Nick Cave albums Abbatoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus.
Savage will be joined on the Irish dates by prominent Australian musician Jim Yamouridis (ex-The Stream). The Australian born, French-based Yamouridis is soon to release his debut solo album, with a repertoire that ranges from dark ballads, tender folk songs, intense rock and 'Rembetika' - a form of Greek blues of the early 20th century. PJ Harvey is one high-profile fan, having performed some of his songs during live performances.
Tickets are on sale now priced at €10 (Dublin) and €8 (Dundalk).
