Ash to livestream a performance of their classic album 1977 next week
The iconic Downpatrick lads are back to present a night of nostalgia and tunes.
Northern Irish rockers Ash are due to play a special live stream concert very soon.
They will be performing their debut album 1977 in full on Saturday, June 5. The record spawned the power-pop band's career with iconic tracks such as 'Kung Fu', 'Girl From Mars' and 'Goldfinger' all set to be played to celebrate the album's 25 anniversary.
Special bundles are available for diehard Ash fans, with the ability to view the concert on demand for 30 days after the show on sale for only a slightly higher price than the show itself. Revellers can also order bundles, including a t-shirt or even an Ash frisbee, along with the ability to view the show at their leisure.
As the anniversary of the album comes close to Record Store Day, Ash is releasing a special vinyl, BBC Sessions 1994-1999, a compilation record of their performances at the British radio station. The record charts their rise from an underground garage band to selling two top 10 UK albums before the further hit of Free All Angels in 2001.
It also includes an introduction from the legendary John Peel for their 1999 Peel Acres session. You can look to pick up the limited edition bright pink vinyl from participating stores listed on recordstoreday.ie when the big day comes.
Tickets are available from stabal.com for the June 5 show, with virtual doors opening at 7.45 pm.
