The brand-new iPod Touch is essentially an iPhone without the phone and camera functionality. It features the same 3.5-inch touchscreen and interface as the smartphone and also has Wi-Fi internet capability. It will be available in both 8GB and a 16GB models.

Apple is also revising the existing iPod, which will now be known as the iPod Classic. Thinner than its predecessor and with better battery life, both 160GB and 80GB versions will be available.

Elsewhere, the iPod Shuffle line will now be offered in new colours, while the iPod Nano will have video capability, though its screen is only 2 inches wide. 4GB and 8GB versions will be offered.
