Amy was honoured at last night's ceremony in Los Angeles
One of the best documentaries of the last decade Amy, took home the award for 'Best Music Film' at the Grammys.
Amy won the trophy in an exceptionally strong category that included Mr Dynamite: The Rise of James Brown, What Happened, Miss Simone?, Roger Waters' The Wall and Foo Fighters' Sonic Highways.
The Asif Kapadia directed film was lauded for its insightful, poignant, yet disturbing footage, charting the singer's rise to fame and her eventual downfall, due to an alcohol addiction.

“She was the girl next door. Literally,” Kapadia told Vogue.com. “She wasn’t like this person from another planet or the other side of the world. She literally walked down the streets I walked down. For me it was about taking her off the pedestal and humanizing her. I didn’t want her to be grouped with all those other people who died young. I just wanted her to be herself.”
