American Music Club return
The legendary American Music Club are back in action with an album in the form of The Golden Age and a supporting tour.
Mark Eitzel & co. are cited as a major influence on the emo movement – but it’s a link they shy away from.
“I don’t intend to make songs dark or difficult,” says Mark. “I want to make the best f**ked up pop songs out there.”
See whether he’s passed his own challenge when the new album – the second from their post-hiatus era - comes out on 25 January 2008.
They take to the road shortly after, with dates at Cyprus Avenue, Cork (30 January); Dolan’s, Limerick (31); Roisin Dubh, Galway (1), Whelan’s, Dublin (2).
