Aertv to screen Community of Independents
Series two launches this Sunday...
Following a successful debut season, Dublin Community Television (DCTV) is set to launch round two of its Community of Independents on Sunday May 6 with a gig at The Button Factory, which will be screened on Aertv, Ireland's only online TV service.
It's a move that will see DCTV available to stream on the channel on a regular basis. “DCTV produces niche content like Community of Independents, 5 Wednesdays and Dole TV that is relevant not only to a Dublin community, but the entire Irish community," says Aertv Director Philippe Brodeur. "Community channels have always had restrictions on them that prevent them growing to their full potential."
Series two of Community of Independents features The Jimmy Cake, Crayonsmith (pictured above), No Spill Blood, September Girl, Costello featuring GI & William Lee and Nibiru.
The schedule for Sunday evening's kicks off at 6pm with the premiere screening of documentary A Joyful Slog, which focuses on the DIY music ethic in Ireland, followed by the Button Factory gig featuring the above bands that Aertv will broadcast on its live channel at 7pm.
