Beatles biopics first look photos shared

Sony Pictures UK have shared first look photos of the 2028 Beatles biopic via postcards, provided to the Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, an institution co-founded by Paul McCartney.

The news follows Barry Keoghan's (Ringo Starr) recent Beatles-style haircut reveal. He's unveiled the band's signature mop-top at the London premiere of his new film, Crime 101 earlier this week.

The Beatles four-film biopic series is a collaboration between Sony Pictures Entertainment and Sam Mendes’ Neal Street Productions. The films are being produced by Mendes, Pippa Harris, Julie Pastor of Neal Street Productions, as well as Alexandra Derbyshire, in association with Apple Corps for Sony Pictures.

The Fab Four will feature Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Barry Keoghan as Ringo Starr, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon. Other notable roles have been confirmed, with Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen (Cox) Starkey, Saoirse Ronan as Linda (Eastman) McCartney, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, and Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd. Supporting cast includes David Morrissey, Leanne Best, James Norton, Harry Lloyd, Bobby Schofield, Daniel Hoffmann-Gill, Arthur Darvill, and Adam Pally.

Sony Pictures announced in April 2025 that the four individual films will each focus on a different Beatle. The scripts are being written by Jez Butterworth, Peter Straughan, Jack Thorne, and Mendes, with the biopic series set to release in April 2028.
