Barry Keoghan reveals Ringo Starr haircut ahead of Beatles biopic premiere

Barry Keoghan has revealed his new Beatles-style haircut ahead of playing Ringo Starr in the Fab Four biopic series. Sam Mendes’ four-film about The Beatles is set for release in April 2028.
Keoghan unveiled the band’s signature “mop top” haircut at the London premiere of his new film, Crime 101, on Wednesday, January 28. It's the first hint at what the actor might look like as Starr, with no official images from the films being released as for now.
The mop-top, or 'Arthur' as George Harrison named it in an interview, became a distinctive look for the band in the '60s. The cut is characterised by its side-swept, brushed down shaggy fringe.
Fab Four will feature Paul Mescal as Paul McCartney, Joseph Quinn as George Harrison, and Harris Dickinson as John Lennon. It will also star Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, Paul McCartney’s first wife. Sony Pictures announced in April 2025 that the four individual films will each focus on a different Beatle.
The scripts are being written by Jez Butterworth, Peter Straughan, and Jack Thorne, with Mendes suggesting that work on the project will continue into 2028.
