Barry Keoghan, Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn and Harris Dickinson recreate Abbey Road cover for Beatles biopics
The biopics, titled The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, will be released in April 2028.
Barry Keoghan, Paul Mescal, Joseph Quinn and Harris Dickinson were spotted recreating the iconic Abbey Road album cover for Sam Mendes’ multi-part Beatles biopic.
A video on social media shows the four stars, Dickinson as John Lennon, Keoghan as Ringo Starr, Mescal as Paul McCartney and Quinn as George Harrison, on the zebra crossing outside EMI Studios in London, where the album was made.
The biopics, titled The Beatles – A Four-Film Cinematic Event, will be released in April 2028. Each film is set from a different bandmember’s perspective. This marks the first time the Beatles and their estates have signed off on life rights and music for a theatrical feature film about them.
Other cast members include Saoirse Ronan as Linda McCartney, James Norton as Brian Epstein, Mia McKenna-Bruce as Maureen Starkey, Anna Sawai as Yoko Ono, Aimee Lou Wood as Pattie Boyd, Harry Lloyd as George Martin, David Morrissey as Jim McCartney and more.
Specific plot details are being kept under wraps, but the official logline reads: “Each man has his own story, but together they are legendary.”
The director, Mendes, described the project as the “first binge-able theatrical experience” during CinemaCon 2025.
Specific release dates for each of the four films have not yet been announced.
In July, Starr praised Keoghan for his role during a TMZ interview.
“He’s such a fine actor,” he said. “I think I’m in good hands.”
