Irish release date for David Freyne's Eternity set
The film stars Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller and Callum Turner.
Eternity, co-written and directed by Kildare native David Freyne, will be released in Irish cinemas on December 5.
Freyne is known for directing the LGBTQ comedy film Dating Amber (2020) and horror movie The Cured (2017), both of which were set in Ireland.
The film is produced by famed American independent entertainment company A24 and premiered at Toronto International Film Festival in September. A24 has built up a loyal fanbase of its own, following the success of Oscar-winning films such as Moonlight (2016), Uncut Gems (2019) and Everything Everywhere At Once (2022).
The film's storyline will take place in the afterlife, where a young woman is forced to choose between the man she spent her life with and her first love who died young and has been awaiting her for decades.
Eternity stars Elizabeth Olsen, Miles Teller, Callum Turner, John Early, Olga Merediz and Da'Vine Joy Randolph.
