Euphoria season three to premiere April 12, trailer out now

The much-anticipated third season of Euphoria is coming to HBO on Friday, April 12.

After a four-year hiatus, the 25-time Emmy-nominated series returns with eight episodes.

Emmy nominee and DGA Award winner Sam Levinson serves as creator, writer, director, and executive producer of the season. Indie film juggernaut A24 co-produces.

Series regulars include Zendaya, Hunter Schafer, Eric Dane, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Alexa Demie, and Maude Apatow, among others. Sharon Stone, Rosalía, Colman Domingo, and Dominic Fike are among the guest stars.

Notably absent from the cast are Barbie Ferreira, who departed from the series at the end of season 2, and Angus Cloud, who passed away in 2023 at the age of 25.

Hans Zimmer and Labrinth will provide the soundtrack.

Season 3 finds its characters embarking on their own paths five years after high school. The trailer depicts Zendaya's Rue in Mexico as she pays off her debt to drug lord Laurie. Cassie and Nate are engaged, living together in the suburbs. Jules is an art school student, and Maddy and Lexi both work in Hollywood.

According to a press release, Euphoria season 3 is the first narrative television series “to shoot significant volume of 65mm film, providing for an expanded image on screen which mirrors the characters’ journeys out of high school into the wider, wilder world.”

Episodes will premiere weekly beginning April 12. Streaming in Ireland will be available via NOW TV and Sky Atlantic.
