Yusuf Islam (Cat Stevens) to play Dublin
He's kicking off his first tour in 33 years in The O2.
After a 33-year hiatus, the artist formerly known as Cat Stevens is back - and he's kicking off his tour in Dublin on November 15.
From there, Islam (pictured, with U2) will hit Birmingham, Liverpool and London. The legendary singer-songwriter, who changed his name when he converted to Islam in 1977, will play a mix of classic hits and materials from his two latest albums, An Other Cup and Roadslinger. According to his website, "Incorporating an exciting mix of concert and musical storytelling, the unique performance will also provide a special surprise connected to the musical, Moonshadow". The musical was based on Islam's hits as Cat Stevens.
Details of when tickets for the Dublin show will go on sale have not yet been released.
