Rap music has given a whole new meaning and purchase to Andy Warhol’s aesthetic of repetition but Ice Cube’s ‘You Know How We Do It’ is in danger of being flogged to death by yet another remix. It sounds distinctly and suspiciously white and sanitised too, compared to the gangsta sleaze and surreptitious threat inherent in the earlier versions. Still, ‘The Message’ makes an appearance on the other track ‘D’Voidofpopniggafiedmegamix’.
