The 'Stars of the Commitments' 20th Anniversary Reunion concert is just over a month away but Tony Fenton and Today FM have announced details of a pretty cool competition for any unsigned bands to play as support for the 'Savious of Soul' at the 02, on Saturday March 19.

The jig is simple: If you're an unsigned band send one original demo into the competition at [email][email protected][/email], before 5pm on Monday February 28.

The Film's Musical Director Andrew Bushnell and the original star Andrew Strong will make a shortlist of five final acts and between March 4-8, listeners of Today FM will be able to vote for their favourite acts before the winner is announced on Friday March 11. The winning band will then play at the 02 on March 19, warming up the crowd to 13,000 people, with a one-day recording session at the renowed Grouse Lodge studio also included as part of the prize.
