What Horrors Will Bear Grylls Have Lined Up For Obama?
The US President will appear on Running Wild With Bear Grylls.
US President Barack Obama visits the Arctic Circle this week to officially change the name of North America's highest peak from Mount McKinley back to its native "Denali" (Athabascan for "the high one"), and he isn't alone.
It has been confirmed that the Arctic trip, a first for a sitting American president, will coincide with Obama's appearance on Running Wild With Bear Grylls.
On the second of his three days in Alaska, Obama will trek with the British survivalist and their experience will air later this year as a TV special aiming to raise awareness about the effects of climate change on Alaska.
The likes of Will Ferrell, Zac Efron, Kate Hudson and Kate Winslet have all headed into the wilderness with Grylls in the past, but Obama will be by far the biggest name he has ever had.
Of course, when you consider that Bear's had Winslet dangling off the side of a cliff and Hudson eating ants, you can be sure Obama will be faced with a number of challenges you wouldn't normally describe as "presidential".
What horrors could be in store for the 44th President of the United States in the Arctic Circle?
Drinking a yak's blood, crawling inside a cow's carcass, squeezing and drinking water from fresh dung, munching on still-alive insects and eating a mouse cooked in urine. Sounds ridiculous? It's all been done on the show before.
