Wexford's Alt Cabaret switches times
The inventive Caca Milis alternative cabaret that has been running so successfully on a monthly basis for the past year at Wexford Arts Centre is all set for another year at a new time and day.
From Friday January 15 it will commence at the earlier time of 8.30 pm, with the next show in the series on Friday February 12.
The Caca Milis show is presented by MC and vocalist Helena Mulkerns, and features a provocative and unpredictable mix of live music, song, dance, new fiction, poetry, short films, comedy and special guests, with Kate McKenna a regular contributor on piano.
Past contributors to the shows have ranged from Imogen Robb playing Beethoven, writers Emer Martin and Susan Lanigan reading from their fiction, exotic dancer Reka Fodor, the short film Blood Coloured Moon, as well as sterling musical spots form Eleanor McEvoy, Mick Flannery, Shane Dunphy and a host of others.
