Watch: The Chemical Brothers & Beck Video 'Wide Open'
The dance duo and the eclectic singer join forces for a new vid
The Chemical Brothers have released a new music video 'Wide Open', featuring the American singer-songwriter Beck.
The track is taken from the Chemical Brothers' eighth studio album, entitled Born in the Echoes, released in the summer of 2015.
'Wide Open' is directed by the dance duo's long-time collaborator Dom & Nic. They previously directed the videos 'Hey Boy, Hey Girl, 'The Salmon Dance', 'Believe' and 'Setting Sun'.
The video features a woman performing some modern dance mixed with some classical ballet moves, as her legs, arms and torso begin to be replaced with artificial limbs.
"Dom & Nic’s vision was to merge the mechanical and organic," a press release reads. "Having been inspired by procedural cellular structures; their VFX Team created a full CG model of the dancer, Sonoya Mizuno, comprising of 107 individual anatomic rigs, as well as bespoke tools to allow the seamless transformation which happens during the dance."Check out the Chemical Brothers featuring Beck in 'Wide Open' below.
