Watch: Fontaines D.C. debut new track 'Tongue' at Brooklyn show

Fontaines D.C. debuted a new track, 'Tongue', at their Brooklyn show on Monday night.

The song features a "menacing" and "heavy" sound - according to fans on Reddit. 'Tongue' will feature on the band's upcoming fifth album, Dopamine Chamber, for which they recently shared the full tracklist.

Out October 16, the record will include lead single 'Marianne' along with two new fan favorites recently debuted live in the form of 'Six Shot Mornng' and 'Happy For You' - also on the list is a duet with Spanish pop pioneer Rosalía on 'Where Is Gone?'.

'Marianne' recently became the first Fontaines D.C. single to score two weeks in the UK top 40.

"The album itself is a dopamine chamber," said frontman Grian Chatten. "You step inside and we test these different mind or mood-altering pieces of music on you ... There's a poignant sense of us being on the brink of some other kind of form of humanity, or non-humanity."

According to the band, the record sees them move into "darker and more synthetic sounds," searching for pleasure "in a world tipping towards collapse" from digital and artificial threats.

Dopamine Chamber follows the 2024 Mercury-nominated Romance and their recent contributions to the Peaky Blinders: Immortal Man soundtrack and the War Child Help(2) album.

Following the release of the record, the Dublin band will embark on a tour of the UK and Europe, before a run of stadium and outdoor dates in 2027 with Little Simz and Viagra Boys.

This includes a stop at Slane Castle on June 26 and 27, 2027. Tickets are available here.
