W.A.S.P. headline The Button Factory
The big question is: will they be bringing the rack with them?
It’s lock up your daughters time on December 4 as the mighty W.A.S.P. descend on the Dublin Button Factory. Tickets are €22 in advance or €25 on the door.
Formed in the early ‘80s by Blackie Lawless who’d previously been a member of the New York Dolls – albeit for just 15 days – the L.A. metallers so outraged Tipper Gore with the likes of ‘Animal (Fuck Like A Beast)’ and ‘On Your Knees’ that she founded the PMRC and lobbied for ‘Parental Advisory’ stickers on records.
They also angered feminist groups by wheeling a nubile young lady out on a rack and invitng the audience to throw raw meat at her. You don’t get that at Grizzly Bear gigs!
