Foo Fighters: ‘Walking After You’ (Elektra)

Proof positive that bands don’t put as much into their work when they’re commissioned to produce something for a soundtrack? This track is linked to the X-Files movie. (The film will be the kiss of death on the series, yes?) The normally reliable Dave Grohl manages to create a tune of some complexity for the purpose, but it’s too sweet by some distance, I’ll wager, for your average Foo Fighters fan.
