Tortoise confirm Whelan's date
The cult Americans are over in July.
Chicagoan post-rock legends Tortoise make a rare trans-Atlantic foray on July 9 – the first day of Oxegen – for a show in Whelan’s. Tickets priced €29 go on sale shortly.
The quintet, who’ve been together in various guises since 1990, will be giving a belated live airing to 2009’s Beacons Of Ancestorship album, which they recorded after assisting Bright Eyes with their (or is it his?) Cassadaga record.
